Why incoming SHS students must choose GAS?

                                                                               

Choosing your strand in senior high school is really hard yet it is an important step to create strong decision in choosing your course in college. You aspire to be successful someday through your chosen strand that is why you made sure to come up with the right decision. K-12 Basic Education program is considered to be one of the most significant education reforms in the country. It includes two years of Senior High School which offers different courses to help you make a more informed decision about their future career path.  

For Academic Track, there is General Academic Strand. It has several advantages which are really important for a senior high school student who is undecided like all of us who enrolled but along the way, we are enjoying our stay in this track. The advantages are the chances of being able to explore and discover in a wide variety of subjects you can find in GAS and it also improves writing and communicating skills of the students.  As a Grade 12 student, I am currently studying General Academic Strand which focuses on every single career path. And I have to admit that my chosen strand really helps me to decide what course I really want to take up in college even though since the beginning, I am so indecisive about it.

Therefore, GAS is your solution in difficulties when it comes to decision-making because it gives you the chance to weigh your options. It’s important to remember that there is no right or wrong strand or track. The decision is in your hands. If you’re still undecided, then Academic Track is the best advice for you.
